Family Vacations with Epcot Tickets

By admin | April 11, 2011

I’m a little embarrassed to admit I have lived in Florida for the past six years and never once been to Disney World. When my teenage grandchildren came last summer, I wanted to find something that we all could enjoy as a family, so I purchased Epcot tickets for the four of us. I was sure they would enjoy the day, but I was skeptical about myself.

Arriving at the park, I was overtaken by the size of the park and the friendly faces that seemed to be everywhere. Epcot was wonderful, being able to walk from country to country and learn first-hand not only the customs of each, but also food that is native to its heritage. After making the rounds of the fabulous pavilions, I felt it was time to check out all the other things the park had to offer, and it was indeed many. Geared more toward science and energy, there is something here for everyone to fully enjoy. I soared over California in a hang glider, took a flight as an astronaut to Mars, explored the gift of imagination, was transported through time to modern day and saw the powers of the universe in Ellen’s Energy Adventure.

The day was long, but it flew by. I came away with a greater appreciation of what a fun day could mean for a family vacation. I can honestly say, I can’t wait to do it again and it won’t take me six years this time.
